TRIBUTE TO MY FRIENDS (HSS Circa 1998) Well, what can I say? I LOVE MY FRIENDS! Call me inane, or deliberately obtuse, but I do love my buds. I wonder why myself. They are not easy ones to love. Kathy will probably skin me for this, but I'll be honest anyway. They are characters right out of the loony bin -- eccentric, brilliant, strongly opinionated, etc. They just know what they want and how to get it. I'd say Emily is the brain; too cute to be smart; her grin as open and as down-to-earth as her personality. That girl graduated as our Salutatorian. Then there's Cheryl, the sexy, sultry girl-next-door-type with just the right lilt of her voice and right sways of her hips... oh boy, talk about being every boy's magnet. She's a self- proclaimed guru on human relationships (a.k.a. pag-uyab-uyab). She's vivacious, her warmth as spontaneous as her wit. Michelle is our Miss Responsibility. She sticks to the rules and lives by the book. She can be naughty at times -- once a blue moon.
